Boys Basketball

The St. Laurence basketball program strives to teach young men life lessons and to prepare them for their futures through the game of basketball. With the dedication and hard work that it takes to be a member of this program, the student-athletes leave with a better understanding of how hard they must work to succeed in life.
Playing in the ultra-competitive Chicago Catholic League, the Vikings have gone 21-8 in conference games over the past two seasons. The team has notched wins over neighborhood rivals Brother Rice, St. Rita, Marist, Richards, Mt. Carmel and Leo, often in front of standing room only crowds at St. Laurence. The Vikings have taken full advantage of their home court advantage, going 17-2 in the regular season at home over the past two seasons. The lower level teams also prospered in 2018-19, combining for a 49-6 overall record with the Freshmen winning the CCL with a perfect 25-0 season. The future is bright as the Vikings look to make the next step with a 2019-20 run downstate in 3A.


  • The Vikings have a record of 47-17 over the past two seasons and have captured back to back IHSA 3A Regional Championships.
