Prospective Families! Learn more about St. Laurence.

The St. Laurence bowling program prides itself on developing young bowlers and maintaining a highly competitive team. The program features three levels: varsity, junior varsity, and an in-house practice league, totaling over 60 students a year. The varsity and junior varsity teams are one of the elite programs in the Catholic League. They both finished in the top tier in each of the past seven seasons, including back-to-back CCL championships for varsity. The Vikes qualified for state as a team in 2015 and have sent individuals down state every other year in the past few years. The varsity bowlers generally average 180 and above and the JV bowlers average around 160. The in-house practice league gives even more students the opportunity to be a part of the program. It operates every Tuesday from November through January. Bowlers of all skill levels can be a part of the in-house league.

Coach Ben Dahm takes over the bowling program from Joe Faber, who retired from teaching and coaching. Dahm is in his first year with bowling, and has been an assistant golf and tennis coach for the past three years. He has also taught history for the past three years. Coach Dahm has a great rapport with the students, and will look to continue the great success that Coach Faber has brought to the program. Coach Bill Gaichas will remain on as the assistant coach. Both Coach Dahm and Coach Gaichas are full-time faculty at St. Laurence.
