Boys Volleyball

The St. Laurence volleyball program is dedicated to providing strong leadership and competitive experiences, which provide students the opportunity to develop athletic skills, knowledge of the game, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character. The focus of the program is to educate and guide students from fundamental to advanced skills, challenging and inspiring them to succeed along the way. The student-athletes in the volleyball program are encouraged to strive for excellence on the court, in the classroom, and outside the walls of St. Laurence. Volleyball is offered at the varsity and JV level at STL, both of which are competitive in the CCL, with the most recent CCL Championship coming in 2014.

Coach Ralph Peck took over the team prior to the 2017 season after serving as an assistant the previous two years. Coach Peck was a standout volleyball player at St. Laurence and with the Chicago Volleyball Club program. He continued his playing career at Illinois State University. While at ISU, he was also a member of the practice squad that competed with the women’s team on a daily basis and began officiating volleyball. Ralph continues to play in numerous volleyball tournaments in the area.
