Scholarship Opportunities
O’Toole Scholarship
The O’Toole Scholarship is awarded to the top twenty five students who test at St. Laurence. Only students who test at St. Laurence on January 12, 2013 can qualify for this scholarship. The Award may be retained for all four years as long as the student takes seven honors level courses (additional class fee waived), keeps an acceptable disciplinary record, and maintains a B average.
Leader/Scholar Award
The Leader/Scholar Award is available to students who first nominate themselves for the award. To be eligible to nominate himself, a student must have no grade lower than a B on his seventh grade report cards and on the first quarter report card of his eighth grade year. He must also be actively involved in a variety of activities, programs or leadership initiatives. All students who apply for this award will be offered the opportunity to participate in the Leader/Scholar selection process. Mr. Mark Scott will facilitate the Leader/Scholar Award process.
Viking Award
The Viking award is available to any student. The criteria to receive a Viking Award include academic achievement, community and Christian service, and participation in clubs or activities. We will review all applications for the Viking Award to determine eligibility. Mr. Joe Spano will facilitate the Viking Award process.
Christian Brother Award
The Christian Brother award is available to students based upon financial need. Students requesting this award will be required to complete a financial aid application form. We will review each application for eligibility. The Tuition Office will facilitate the Christian Brother Award.
