Golf

The goal of the St. Laurence golf program is to improve the golfskills and knowledge of each participant. The main emphasis within the program is that each young man takes away the important
lessons of good sportsmanship and proper etiquette that will serve him well in future years. While working to accomplish these objectives, the Vikings are also extremely competitive in both the
Chicago Catholic League and IHSA contests. The team advanced to the IHSA Sectionals in 2012 and has sent at least one golfer to the State Finals every year since 2011.

HEAD COACH

Coach Brian Kribs is a 1999 St. Laurence graduate and while attending St. Laurence participated in the golf and tennis teams. He attended Marquette University and graduated in 2003. Upon graduating he was hired as a PGA Apprentice at Beverly Country Club where he learned the game as a caddy. Coach Kribs gained his PGA Class A membership in 2010 and has had the opportunity to teach all abilities and ages at Beverly. He is a certified instructor with U.S. Kids Golf and Titleist Performance Institute. Coach Kribs brings a passion for golf and hopes to have the same impact on student-athletes that his coaches had on him.
