Paul Ladewski, STL Class of ’68 and a longtime Chicago baseball beat writer for the Southtown newspaper group, is now the Executive Director of the Chicago Baseball Museum. This new, state-of-the-art museum currently exists only in cyberspace, but big plans are on the drawing board. Paul is excited to report that the museum looks to locate in Whiting, Indiana right along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. This museum will truly be a shrine for all baseball lovers, and will include areas for high school, college and the pros, including the Chicago Cubs; somehow Paul is classifying them as a major league team. There will even be a section for Chicago’s own creation: 16-inch softball.

When you get a chance, check out the interesting website chicagobaseballmuseum.org to see the eye-catching plans. If you have an idea or a question for “The Dew,” or perhaps would like to donate something nice to the museum, please give him a call or drop him an email. He can be reached at 708-846-9761 or pladewski@chicagobaseballmuseum.org.

Good luck on this great endeavor, Paul. We can’t wait to walk through those doors and start exploring!
