(Burbank, IL) St. Laurence High School is excited to welcome Laura Storino as Director of Leadership and Mission Integration.

Storino brings 14 years of experience in education to St. Laurence’s academic leadership team. She most recently served as a business teacher at Immaculate Conception College Prep. Prior to IC, Storino was at Queen of Peace for 10 years where she finished as the Academic Dean, but also held roles such as Dean of Women, Activities Director and Student Council Moderator and was highly regarded among the faculty and student body.

“I look forward to the opportunity to help St. Laurence students maximize their potential as leaders, so that upon graduation they are ready for whatever challenges they encounter in college and beyond,” said Storino. “I am also excited to help continue bringing the charisma of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers to life in our students and in our community.”

A current resident of Mokena with her husband Art Olsen (St. Laurence Class of 1994), Storino grew up in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago and graduated from Queen of Peace. She received her bachelor’s degree in marketing communications from Columbia College and her master’s degree in school leadership from Concordia University. Her certifications include Type 75/School Leadership, Type 09/Business Education and LBS1.

“Laura’s experience in nearly every area of high school education made her an amazing candidate for this position,” said St. Laurence High School Principal Jim Muting. “She understands what it means to work in Catholic education, and she has demonstrated an ability to build positive relationships with her students every step of the way. We are thrilled to gain her perspective and know that she will help us grow as an academic leadership team.”

Storino will begin her new role in July 2019.
