(Burbank, IL) St. Laurence High School is excited to welcome Margaret Hermanek as the school’s new Director of Development.

Hermanek spent the last seven years at Catherine Cook School, where she designed and executed the annual giving campaign and annual gala. In doing so, she grew net fundraising revenue to upwards of $1.4 million during her tenure. Hermanek was influential not only in raising funds, but also in building community through successfully engaging a committed network of stakeholders and advocates who helped build a vibrant and committed culture throughout the school community.

“I’m excited to join the St. Laurence community as it grows and innovates,” said Hermanek. “There are so many exciting opportunities on the horizon and I’m looking forward to connecting parents and alumni with our students in meaningful ways. With my experience in fundraising and volunteer leadership, I am eager to build on the tradition and foundation that makes St. Laurence an exceptional place to learn and grow.”

Hermanek has a strong Catholic educational background, as she is an alumna of Saint Ignatius College Prep and Butler University.

“Not only is Margaret a seasoned development professional with an established track record of success, she is a strategic and visionary leader who easily sees the big picture,” said St. Laurence Vice President of Institutional Advancement Bob Hogan ’90. “Combined with her ability to communicate and execute in a confident and collegial way, Margaret will be an amazing asset to our team and the entire STL community.”

Hermanek will officially begin her new role in January 2020.
