St. Laurence High School invites 8th grade boys to take the entrance exam on January 14, 2017 at 8 am.

St. Laurence is looking to build on last year’s testing success, where the school witnessed a 30% increase in test-takers from the previous year. As a result, STL experienced a 14% increase in total enrollment, the only Catholic school in the area to see such an increase.

The school has had several accomplishments this year, one of which was being voted the “Best Private School in the Southland” by readers of the Daily Southtown for the second consecutive year. The school also implemented a 10-week ACT Prep Course that all juniors participate in during the school day. In a pilot program last year, the average student increased their ACT score by 4 points. Additionally, St. Laurence launched the Medical Career Program, which gives students real world experience and volunteer opportunities in local hospitals and medical centers. While providing these valuable programs, St. Laurence still remains one of the most affordable Catholic schools in the area.

In athletics, the Vikings were IHSA State Semifinalists and Chicago Catholic League Champions in football for the second consecutive year. Additionally, the baseball team is coming off its first Sectional title in 23 years.

Centrally located in the safe suburb of Burbank, St. Laurence is a convenient commute to all of the major neighborhoods and towns all across the southwest side.

Prospective students taking the test are asked to bring $25 to cover the testing fee, along with #2 pencils.

St. Laurence High School is located at 5556 West 77th Street, Burbank, Illinois, 60459.
